Bihar: unanimous resolution to rename Gaya as Gayaji

The discussion about changing the names of places in the country is very hot. Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Gaya Municipal Corporation, Mohan Srivastava said that the Municipal Corporation has passed a resolution and unanimously applied to the State and Government of India to rename Gaya as ‘Gayaji’.

On Wednesday, in the meeting of the Standing Committee held in the Municipal Auditorium, a resolution was passed to rename Gaya to Gayaji. The meeting was presided over by Mayor Virendra Kumar alias Ganesh Paswan and Municipal Commissioner Abhilasha Sharma.

On this occasion, the Deputy Mayor said that it was a city of international repute. Gaya has great importance in Sanatan Dharma. Lord Shri Hari Vishnu himself is seated here. At the same time, Bodh Gaya is the place of knowledge of Mahatma Buddha. Being the land of salvation, Pindadaani brings Pind Daan from the country and abroad.
