Ambedkar Nagar. After the strictness of the CM, the campaign to make the roadways encroachment free has started showing effect. Due to the strictness of the police and administration, the shopkeepers themselves have come forward and started the work of removing encroachments along with shops placed on footpaths and tracks and other encroachments. A similar picture was seen on the Akbarpur Bangaon road on Friday. Many shopkeepers shifted their shop from the track and shifted it to another place. This will relieve the common people from the hassle of traffic jams due to encroachment of main roads.
On Thursday, the DM and SP, along with other top officers, inspected the major roads of the city and called upon the people to remove the encroachment automatically to avoid trouble. Its effect started showing on Friday. On Akbarpur-Banagaon road, near Chungi Naka, the shopkeepers made the road encroachment-free by removing many huts, thatch and other material kept on the road on the eastern side of the road. Along with this, the shopkeepers who had extended their shops till the track were also seen removing them.
Common citizens have expressed happiness about this initiative. Advocate Anurag Tripathi, resident of Miranpur, etc. says that if the encroachment is removed from the road tracks, the benefit of smooth movement will be available. The administration should make proper arrangements for the shopkeepers of tracks, dumps and handcarts. So that their business will not be affected. Rajesh Kumar and Pradeep also justified the initiative to get the encroachments removed from the tracks.
